We had the honor of providing hair and makeup services to the girls at Immaculate Conception Academy for Prom, and it was an incredible experience! These young women are so smart and sweet, it was an honor to give a small touch of glam in preparation for one of the most important events in their teenage years.
Every day these women are called upon to selflessly meet the needs of their families. It was an honor for SolSisters to get to know the women in the program and be able to celebrate their efforts towards self-care.
Special thank you to Mission De Flores, Violetta Flowers, Papalote, Homeroom and Adobe Systems for their generous donations towards this event.
*MOMS is a program geared towards empowering incarcerated women who are transitioning out and preparing these women to successfully re-enter into their communities and reunite with their families.
In our effort to unify, celebrate and take action this year, Sol Sisters was asked by St. Anthony’s in San Francisco to provide hair and makeup to help uplift the women in the community for International Women’s Day. Our hearts were full of love and admiration with every person we met that day. Each woman eager to tell their story, giving us shining examples of strength and perseverance. It was an honor to serve these women and an excellent way to celebrate International Women’s Day.
We've partnered with Boobs4Food to host a Thanksgiving-themed feast curated for women and their families who would not otherwise have a Thanksgiving experience. Sol Sisters and their families accompanied the honored women and their families for a time of good food and conversation.
