Our second annual Sol Sisters Retreat was hosted at Board Member Eden's house in Oakland. We had several new faces....ahhh growth! This was the perfect way to bring in the new year. It's safe to say we had allll the feels.
Our Founder, Christine, shared an empowering presentation on where Sol Sisters all started...on notebook paper on a flight back from Chicago in 2012. We walked through the journey of Sol, sharing lots of memories (good and bad) and set intentions on where we're going.
Unity In Color is an artistic humanitarian photography series. San Francisco has joined other cities around the world to support this project which stands for the ideals in which the Million Woman March represented. The idea is to produce a very strong image visually that shows our solidarity in this time. This is about celebrating women and standing together publicly.
Sol Sisters visited Sacramento, CA to support WEAVE, Inc's Walk A Mile In Her Shoes, the international men's march to stop rape, sexual assault & gender violence. This event happens all over the world throughout the year with thousands in attendance to support this fight.
These men put on their best heels and walked the streets of our State's Capitol City!
Board members and friends gathered for an intimate dinner hosted by Feastly, food provided by Eats by E, Filipino-American comfort food. Delicious dishes, accompanied with conversations and wine, couldn't have asked for a more perfect way to start the new year of 2016.
